Antarctic Question Submission

Antarctic Classroom Questions

Do you have questions about Antarctica? Feel free to add them to our list via the comments section below. After we get a list of suggestions started, I'll post it (only showing first name, age, city/country) so that everyone can see what people are asking about. If you'd prefer to email me questions, send it to the email listed on my university contact page and I'll add it to the list. Small, simple science experiments are also welcome. Essentially, anything that we can do with stuff we might have on base or at the camp is acceptable. I'll tweet the answers on my twitter page while we're down South, but I'll follow that up with blogs that include pictures and better descriptions of things once we return to the land of unlimited internet. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Thanks so much for helping me out!

  2. I understand that Antarctica is extremely dry in addition to being cold. I assume that its important in such dry conditions to keep drinking water while you work in the field. Do you bring water with you or melt snow as needed? How do you keep it from freezing?
